Walter Dennett, the Founder of Dennett, Craig and Pate, purchased the large home in Saco in 1929. Working with his employee, Clarence “Ted” Craig, they handled and coordinated all aspects of the funeral arrangements for the people in the Saco/Biddeford area; this tradition continues today with the present staff in this beautiful, historic home.

In 1985, after seeing the need for a funeral home to cover the Buxton, Hollis, Limington, Gorham, and Waterboro areas, Dennett, Craig and Pate opened a funeral home in Buxton.
